Education Background

Attorney Jason C. Brown is an honors graduate of the Minnesota State University at Mankato and the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. As a law student, he was an editor with the law review. He represented William Mitchell in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and was inducted into “Who’s Who of American Law Students.”

Criminal Defense Experience

Jason has experience in hundreds criminal cases, from routine traffic tickets and DUI to much more serious matters such as murder, meth cases, criminal sexual conduct, fraud, theft, assault and others. He is a former public defender and law clerk to Assistant Chief Judge Timothy R. Bloomquist of the tenth judicial district.

In addition to his criminal work, he is frequently appointed to represent individuals facing civil commitment, including many level three sex offenders and an accused murderer. He is a former associate to prominent personal injury attorney Fred Pritzker and has tried a wide range of matters. In some cases, Jason’s efforts have resulted in outright dismissal of criminal charges – both before and during trial.

Professional Activities

Jason Brown has frequently lectured at seminars through the Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Association and has authored a number of published works. He is active in the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Association and the Anoka County Bar Association.
