Jason C. Brown

Attorney Jason C. Brown is an honors graduate of Minnesota State University at Mankato and the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. As a law student, he was a published staff writer and editor with the Law Review. He was one of just four students in his law school class chosen to represent William Mitchell in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

Jason has played a key role in hundreds of criminal cases, from routine traffic tickets and DUI to much more serious matters such as first-degree murder, methamphetamine possession and distribution cases, criminal sexual conduct, fraud, theft, assault and others. He is a former public defender and law clerk to Assistant Chief Judge Timothy R. Bloomquist of Minnesota's Tenth Judicial District.

In addition to his criminal defense work, he is frequently appointed by the courts to represent individuals facing civil commitment in Minnesota, including many level three sex offenders and an accused murderer. He is a former associate to one of Minnesota's top personal injury attorneys, Fred Pritzker, and has tried a wide range of cases to a jury and the court. In some cases, Jason’s efforts have resulted in outright dismissal of criminal charges – both before and during trial.

Jason has frequently lectured at seminars offered through the Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Association and has authored a number of published works. He is active in the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Association and the Anoka County Bar Association.
