
Jason C. Brown
Attorney Jason C. Brown is an honors graduate of Minnesota
State University at Mankato and the William Mitchell College of Law
in St. Paul. As a law student, he was a published staff writer and editor with the Law Review.
He was one of just four students in his law school class chosen to
represent William Mitchell in the Philip C. Jessup International
Moot Court Competition.
Jason has played a key role in hundreds of criminal cases, from routine
traffic tickets and DUI to much more serious matters such as
first-degree murder, methamphetamine possession and distribution
cases, criminal sexual conduct, fraud, theft, assault and others. He
is a former public defender and law clerk to Assistant Chief Judge
Timothy R. Bloomquist of Minnesota's Tenth Judicial District.
In addition to his criminal defense work, he is frequently appointed
by the courts to
represent individuals facing civil commitment in Minnesota, including many level
three sex offenders and an accused murderer. He is a former
associate to one of Minnesota's top personal injury attorneys, Fred Pritzker, and has tried a wide range of
cases to a jury and the court. In some cases,
Jason’s efforts have resulted in outright dismissal of criminal
charges – both before and during trial.
Jason has frequently lectured at seminars offered through the Minnesota
Trial Lawyer's Association and has authored a number of published
works. He is active in the Minnesota State Bar Association, the
Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Association and the Anoka County Bar
Association.

Cynthia J. Brown
In the last decade, Cynthia Brown has established a reputation as
an outstanding criminal defense lawyer. She is an honors graduate of
the University of South Dakota and the William Mitchell College of
Law in St. Paul. While obtaining her law degree, Cynthia performed
investigative work for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office and
handled cases on behalf of Minnesota prison inmates. Her interested in
criminal defense began in college, having secured a B.A. in criminal
justice studies.
Cynthia's experience in the criminal justice system is
remarkable. She has served the law in a multitude of capacities,
whether as a prosecutor, public defender, judicial law clerk or as
private defense counsel. Clients compliment her regularly for the
results she has obtained, including many case dismissals. Given her
work as a prosecutor, she knows how to anticipate the arguments of
law enforcement.
Cynthia has been interviewed by numerous media outlets concerning
criminal law and procedure, including ABC News. In the last decade,
Cynthia has successfully represented hundreds of clients in criminal
court throughout Minnesota, including DWI, assault, criminal sexual
conduct, controlled substance and fraud cases. While Cynthia has
been able to resolve most issues through plea negotiations, she has
also taken many cases to trial. She takes an aggressive approach in
the defense of criminal charges.
In 2007, Cynthia founded the Amigos de Guatemala Foundation.
Cynthia has traveled extensively to Central America over the last 13
years. She has an excellent command of the Spanish language and
takes great pride in donating time and resources to the
impoverished.
